Dr. Jessa is a licensed clinical psychologist with a passion for suicide prevention. In conjunction with her clinical work Dr. Jessa is an ASSIST (Applied Suicide Skills Intervention Skills) trainer and believes equipping people with the skills to respond empathically during a suicidal crisis is forefront to this work. Dr. Jessa enjoys learning about innovative approaches to suicide prevention work and is a big advocate of trauma sensitive yoga as a practice that can be healing for individuals experiencing suicidality. She is featured on the podcast, Beyond Trauma, discussing the role trauma sensitive yoga can play in healing from a suicide attempt.
